Hello! My name is Mikki Lane. I use the She series and identify as a white, older female. I am an intern at a counseling center, currently in my third year of graduate studies in the low-residency program at Lesley University in Cambridge, MA. I am pursuing a second career as a Clinical Mental Health Counselor, focusing on Expressive Arts Therapy. I hold a level two certificate in Focusing Oriented Arts Therapy (FOAT), a BA in Design for Theatre and a BFA with a focus in glass and ceramics as well as painting, and printmaking.
I provide person-centered, somatic, narrative, and strength-based sessions to support your holistic journey in healing. I specialize in working with individuals who want to feel comfortable in their own bodies, addressing women’s issues, life coaching, and self-esteem. I am LGBTQIA2+ friendly and supportive. I am here to provide you with a safe and caring space where you can feel completely understood and free from judgment. I believe that everyone has the right to feel comfortable in their own bodies and to be unique. Let me support you on your journey!
During our sessions, we may use a variety of creative methods such as drawing, painting, sculpting, writing, moving, singing, and more to help release the distress our bodies hold. Everyone deserves to be free of their traumas, and Expressive Arts Therapy is a powerful tool to connect with and release those emotions. You do not need to be creative to benefit from this approach; the outcome is what matters, not the process.
In my spare time, I create art and engage in as much theatre as feasible. I try to laugh with friends and family whenever possible!
