Welcome! I first joined Middlebury College as a student in 2010, and I’m excited to have returned as a counselor with the Center for Health and Wellness.
I earned my master’s degree in social work from the University of Pennsylvania in 2020. Most recently, I’ve been working with individuals, couples, and relationships in private practice in Philadelphia. Before this, I worked in violence prevention, where I supported survivors, provided therapeutic support to those who had harmed partners, and facilitated restorative processes for people affected by harm.
My therapeutic approach is warm and curious, drawing on attachment theory, relational social work, harm reduction, and somatic practices. I focus on building collaborative, trusting relationships with students, empowering them to explore what matters most to them and providing a space where they don’t have to face their challenges alone. I also incorporate identity exploration into our work, continuously reflecting on how my identities as a white, queer person influence my understanding and support of students.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, playing guitar and violin, and spending time with my sweet, long and low dog, Banjo! During my time as a student here, I was a member of the women’s varsity basketball team, so I’m particularly passionate about supporting student-athletes as they navigate the unique challenges and excitement at Middlebury.
