My name is Shelby and I use she/her pronouns. I grew up in Northern California and moved to Vermont in 2019 when I joined the Sports Medicine team here at Middlebury.

I have worked as an athletic trainer in a variety of settings including high school, physical therapy clinic, and college which has allowed me to work with a broad patient population. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training from the University of Southern Maine, and Doctorate in Athletic Training from Indiana State University. I have since obtained certifications in Dry Needling and Human Movement Analysis and have an interest in furthering my education in Manual Therapies.

My approach to my work includes taking into account the social, emotional, environmental, and physical aspects of health. This allows me to build relationships with the student athletes I work with beyond their engagement with sport.

Things I enjoy outside of work include hiking with my dog and friends, skiing, attempting to golf, and playing hockey.

Sports Responsibilities: Fall Rugby and Crew, Women’s Ice Hockey, Spring Golf, Outdoor Track
