Professor Dr. Alexander Nikitin
Professor Nikitin is Director of the Center for Euro-Atlantic Security and Professor at Moscow State Institute for International Relations (MGIMO); Principal Research Fellow, Institute for World Economy and International Relations (IMEMO), Russian Academy of Sciences; President Emeritus of the Russian Political Science Association; Elected member of the Russian Academy of Military Sciences, the Scientific Council under the Security Council of Russia, and of the Scientific-Expert Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. Professor Nikitin has been a researcher for 10 years at the Institute for US and Canadian Studies (Moscow), taught for over 25 years at the MGIMO and Lomonosov Moscow State Universities, as well as at Higher School of Economics. He is an author of more than 150 scientific publications including 50 published abroad in Russia. His recent monographs include “International Conflicts” (2017) and “Conflicts, Terrorism, Peace Operations” (2009).
