Classes led by Professor Jonathan Miller-Lane and Middlebury graduate Corey Selover. PE credit available. Aikido is a 20th century Japanese martial art founded by Morihei Ueshiba, O‚ÄôSensei, (1883-1969). In these sessions, we will focus on the potential of Aikido techniques and principles to transform conflict from a binary confrontation among individuals to an interaction of powerful and dynamic energy. No prior experience is necessary. Participants should wear comfortable clothing that includes leg coverings (such as sweats) rather than shorts. All bodies are welcome.
