Alicia Phelps Jazz Quartet

Alicia Phelps is a jazz vocalist and pianist working as a private instructor and freelance musician in Portland, ME. Born in Shelburne, VT, Alicia has performed at many venues throughout the New England area such as the Burlington Discover Jazz Festival and Burlington First Night.
Most recently Alicia has had the opportunity to perform with Grammy award-winning vocalist/saxophonist Darmon Meader (New York Voices),the Portland Jazz Orchestra, organist/pianist Dr. Joe Utterback, and renowned jazz pianist Jed Wilson.
Alicia plays fresh and vibrant arrangements of jazz standards as well as originals with a new-age flair. Influences include Gretchen Parlato, Esperanza Spalding, Chet Baker, Dexter Gordon, Cecile McLorin Salvant, and Hiatus Kaiyote.
