Event Description:
Amnesty International (AI) is the world’s largest grassroots human rights organization and has even received the Nobel Peace Prize for its life-saving work. AI works to protect people wherever justice, freedom, truth and dignity are denied by investigating and exposing abuses, educating and mobilizing the public, and helping transform societies to create a safer, more just world.

With the support of our faculty adviser Dr. Jan Black, who’s on the Board of Directors for AI USA, the AI Chapter here at MIIS would like to invite you to our biweekly meetings where we’ll discuss membership responsibilities, leadership roles, elections, and relationships with both internal and external knowledge-holders, stakeholders and partners. We’ll also discuss best practices form our sponsored events on campus over the past two semesters to help us collaboratively plan the events we’ll be hosting over the next two semesters.
