CCI and the Department of History of Art & Architecture are co-sponsoring this career panel in connection with the exciting events surrounding the installation at Middlebury of Jedd Novatt’s monumental sculpture, Chaos Xaxis: http://www.jeddnovatt.com/. The purpose of the panel is to give students intrigued by the intersection of art and commerce perspectives on various professions in the art world and a sense of how the market is adding new business formats to the traditional ones, such as private dealers, global art fairs, and virtual galleries.

The panel will include Jedd Novatt, the artist himself; Ron Marks, P ’14, a collector and Middlebury Arts Council member; Arts Council chair Rick Lapham ’70, art dealer and President of Lapham and Dibble Gallery in Manhattan, and Emily Bierman ’07, Assistant Vice President at Sotheby’s.

A buffet lunch will be served.
