Please join us for a discussion with Carol Tonge Mack, ’95, Middlebury Alumna and author of Being Bernadette: From Polite Silence to Finding the Black Girl Magic Within. Carol will read a selection from her new book followed by a moderated discussion, Q&A with the audience, and a book signing. Books will be available for purchase at $20 each.
Carol Tonge Mack is an assistant dean at the University of Cincinnati. She is a graduate of Middlebury College in Vermont and holds Master of Arts degrees in teaching and education from the University of New Hampshire. A native of the Caribbean island of Antigua, Carol grew up in the South Bronx, New York City. She is married to Dr. James Mack, ’95 and is mother to two amazing children.
