The Bloomberg Institute Assessment

The Bloomberg Institute is in the process of developing an innovative, “best in class” assessment targeting college and undergraduate students from around the world, who are interested in careers in finance and related fields. The proprietary Bloomberg Assessment (“BAT”) measures strengths and weaknesses across 12 distinct dimensions (knowledge and skills, both financial and non-financial), and requires no financial background. In fact the BAT is designed for a broad cross section of test takers - which reflects the fact that employers are interested in both finance and non-finance majors alike. Test scores will be available to 20,000 financial employers (through the Bloomberg terminal and online) on an anonymous (serial number) basis; employers interested in contacting a test taker will have to ask that student’s permission before seeing their name and contact information.
