Through the generosity of a grant from Photowings, MIIS students and staff embarked on a year-long journey to tell the stories of 10 MIIS students and the local connections they made through volunteering, working, and pastimes in Monterey County community. The exhibit features the stories of Monterey County community members and MIIS students in an exhibit designed to show how the local community and MIIS students are “bursting the bubble” that often encompasses universities and schools around the county. The opening and reception takes place Wednesday, November 15 from 6-8pm in the Samson Center Dining Room and patio. The event will include reflections from the photographer and participants. The public is welcome. This event is sponsored by the MIIS Committee for Art in Public Places (CAPP). To learn more visit http://sites.miis.edu/arts or contact Carolyn Meyer at 831-647-6417.
