Come meet CPT Amie Freeman, a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Fort Drum. Following the Career Conversation, learn more about the Army Health Professions Scholarship Program. CPT Amie E. Freeman is originally from Ontario, Canada, but since the age of nine has grown up in the United States spending the majority of her younger years in Michigan. She attended Albion College in Michigan for undergraduate studies, majoring in Biology. She completed medical school at Kansas City University of Medicine in Kansas City, Missouri. CPT Freeman went on to complete her residency in Family Medicine at Fort Gordon, Georgia in 2015 and was selected and served as chief resident in her final year. She graduated residency receiving the Alton “Ben” Payton Award for the outstanding graduating family practice resident. In her first duty assignment following residency, she served as a clinician at Guthrie Clinic in Fort Drum, New York. While staff physician at Guthrie Clinic, she also currently serves as the Primary Care behavior Health Clinical Supervisor and the medical consultant to the Clinical Review Committee.
