“What happens if Roe v. Wade is overturned?”
The U.S. Supreme Court will soon hear oral arguments in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health, a case that is widely expected to determine the fate of Roe v. Wade and the constitutional right to abortion. How might the Court’s decision reshape the landscape of abortion access and impact women’s pursuit of economic security and family? Professor Myers will describe what we know about the causal effects of abortion access and what this implies for a possible post-Roe America. Along the way she will discuss spearheading and writing an economists’ amicus brief to the Supreme Court in this landmark case.
