Open to the Public
Join us for a virtual presentation by Dr. Katharine Hayhoe, professor and director of the Climate Science Center at Texas Tech University, with remarks by Bill McKibben, Schumann Distinguished Scholar.
Hayhoe, Climate scientist and evangelical Christian, and author McKibben will discuss how today’s most important conversation isn’t about why climate change matters; it’s about learning to communicate with people from different perspectives. And, it’s about learning how to connect the dots between climate and what people already care about, in order to move this issue to the front of people’s minds and political agendas.
Sponsored by Franklin Environmental Center at Hillcrest, Program in Environmental Studies, Charles P. Scott Center for Spiritual and Religious Life, Office of Digital Learning and Inquiry, Office of Advancement, and Addison County Interfaith Climate Action Network.
