Stephen Sondheim’s ground-breaking “concept” musical debuted in 1970. The famous score is by turns hilarious and heart-breaking, and after half a century what it says about modern relationships still rings true. The annual co-production of Town Hall Theater and the Middlebury College Dept. of Music is always a much-anticipated event.
