The Dartmouth Institute (TDI) offers one-year, accelerated programs for full time students pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) or a Master of Science (MS) in Healthcare Research. We also offer a two year, online MPH program that allows students to continue working full time. TDI is where “knowledge informs change.” For more than 30 years we have been studying the performance of the U.S. health care system, asking probing questions about the causes and consequences of the remarkable variations in the quality and cost of care across providers and communities, and developing insights, tools, practical approaches and policy recommendations that are helping to improve clinical practice and guide health care reform in the U.S. and around the globe. We are looking for students who aspire to make a difference by developing the knowledge and skills required to help lead the transformation of health care – whether in clinical, policy, or academic settings. Our close-knit learning community provides unprecedented access to a world-renowned faculty – scholars and healthcare professionals who integrate theory and practice into the diverse classroom and real-world settings where learning takes place. Our MPH and MS graduates go on to a variety of careers, including medicine, health administration, consulting, health policy, and scientific and health services research, where they bring a fresh understanding of the complexities of American health care and the innovation and dedication to achieve real reform.
