The purpose of the event will be for students to be able to self identify what is stressing them out and find stress management skills that will help them specifically cope with their stress. Students will be making beaded stretch bracelets. The different colors will signify different coping mechanisms to overcome stress that will work specifically for them. They will anonymously first write down everything that is stressing them out as much or little as they’d like, and it will be put to the side. They will then be making a stretch beaded bracelet, which signifies the coping mechanism they believe suits them best out of the list given and they will be taking this with them as a reminder. They will then take that paper with all their stress written down and rip it apart as a way to “rid” themselves of the stress.
