Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal
Dr. Zafar Nawaz Jaspal is Director & Associate Professor at the School of Politics and International Relations, Quaid-I-Azam University, Islamabad, Pakistan, where he teaches various aspects of National and International Security with a focus on Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies; including CBRN terrorism and counter terrorism; and arms control/disarmament. He is an advisor on nonproliferation to SASSI, Islamabad/London and a course coordinator at Foreign Services Academy, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Islamabad. He has also held research positions at Pakistan’s leading governmental research organizations. As a visiting lecturer, Dr. Jaspal has been invited to speak at many professional and training institutions; including distinguished NATO School, Oberammergau, Germany; Center of Excellence: Defense against Terrorism, Ankara, Turkey; National Security & War Courses of Pakistan’s National Defense University; Intelligence Bureau Academy, Islamabad; Command and Staff College Quetta; Air War College, Karachi; and Foreign Service Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pakistan. He is also a widely published scholar with over a hundred academic research publications.
