Discussion Session: Diversity & Identity in Study Abroad
This discussion session is open to all students interested in learning more about issues of diversity and identity in study abroad. The session will begin with a brief introduction from the Office of International Programs & Off-Campus Study, which will then lead into concurrent, small-group discussions led by study abroad returnees. These discussions are meant to address a number of topics including, but not limited to: Race and ethnicity, LGBTQ+ students, gender, religion and spirituality, disabilities and chronic medical conditions, first-generation students, and students on financial aid abroad. All prospective, out-going, and returned study abroad students are welcome to attend; please note that the event will be geared toward students who are preparing to go abroad during the 2018-19 academic year.
