The Dogteam Theatre Project, a brand new company integrating professional and emerging artists to create meaningful theatre through multidisciplinary workshops and productions, presents its INAUGURAL PUBLIC EVENT: Trailblazing! A day-long showcase of new works and design presentations.

Presentations begin at 11am with readings of two new scripts by Middlebury College playwrights Teo Flesher ‘23 and Kayla Schwartz ‘23.5, directed by Caroline Armour ‘24, Zack Maluccio ‘23 and Maggie Connolly ’23.

At 2:30pm we’ll hear A Hundred Circling Camps by Sam Collier ‘09, directed by Rebecca Wear ‘10.5, with performances by Hannah Alberti ’26, Maggie Blake ’24, Brandon Burton*, Maggie Connolly ’23, Alex Draper ‘88*, Lynn Hawley ’88.5*, Naja Irvin-Conyers ’24, Victoria Keith ’23, Zack Maluccio ’23, Madison Middleton ’22.5, August Newell ’23, Zeph Santiago ’26, Kayla Schwartz ’23.5. 

The final presentation of the day will be La Viuda (The Widow) by María Irene Fornés, translated and directed by Olga Sanchez Saltveit, featuring performances by Socorro Santiago*, Brandon Burton*, Hannah Alberti ’26, Maggie Blake ’24, Maggie Connolly ’23, Naja Irvin-Conyers ’24, Victoria Keith ’23, Zack Maluccio ’23, Madison Middleton ’22.5, August Newell ’23, Zeph Santiago ’26, Kayla Schwartz ’23.5. Scenic (August Newell ‘23), Lighting (Jayda Gilyard ‘26), and Digital Media (Natalie Penna ‘24) design presentations created especially for these new works by Middlebury students will be showcased throughout the day. Talkbacks will follow each of the readings.
