Dellasala, Chief Scientist, Wild Heritage, Project of Earth Island Institute.  The summer of 2023 didn’t just bring floods to Vermont and New England, it also brought the worst wildfire smoke and air quality that nearly anyone can remember. What are the causes of these changes that we are witnessing in New England, and what should we know about Canadian forest management? Dr. Dellasala and a team of researchers have investigated these questions in depth in a recent peer-reviewed paper. This presentation would provide an overview and implications from that research.
