Get to know your building and join members of the Sunday Night Environmental Group (SNEG), and the Sustainable Solutions Lab interns for a fun afternoon to learn about the incredible geothermal systems used to heat and cool Stewart Hall! Learn how the rocks heat your daily shower and will keep your room toasty during the winter months! 

Stewart Hall is the first 100% geothermal residential hall on the Middlebury campus. The event will feature presentations by the environmental architect who designed the hall’s new energy systems, and from the 2026 Middlebury Sustainable Solutions Lab student interns who spent the summer researching sustainable energy projects around campus. There will be fun fall snacks and a geothermal and sustainability oriented Kahoot with prizes!
