Gesiel School of Medicine: The Top 10 Questions Every Minority Student Should Ask
Two representatives from Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth - Mr. Shawn O’Leary from the Office of Multicultural Affairs, and Aileen Panitz, Admissions Director from the Medical School - are coming to speak to students considering a career in medicine. Their goal in visiting is to make students from traditionally underrepresented* groups in medicine aware of Geisel’s many opportunities and programs of study. They plan to speak about some of the unique challenges faced by students from underrepresented backgrounds and will share with us the ‘Top 10 Questions PreMed Students Should be Asking.’
All students are welcome to attend the information session and we would like to invite 10 students from underrepresented backgrounds to join Mr. O’Leary and Ms. Panitz for dinner following the talk. To RSVP for the dinner please email the Health Professions office at hprofess@middlebury.edu. By signing up, the expectation is that you will be you attending this dinner.
* Historically underrepresented groups in medicine include African American students, Mexican American/Latino students, and Native American/Alaska Native students.
