Off Campus

From April 11-14, 2024, a group of 14 students from Middlebury will be traveling to Los Angeles, California to participate in the Los Angeles Model United Nations (LAMUN) conference.

LAMUN is one of the oldest and largest Model UN simulations on the West Coast. It is hosted annually by the United Nations Association of the United States of America at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA). The conference features rigorous debate and negotiation on pressing global issues, with students representing different countries and serving on committees.

While in Los Angeles, the group will stay at a hotel near the UCLA campus. In addition to the four-day conference, they will visit local sites like the Getty Museum, Hollywood Walk of Fame, Santa Monica Pier, and more. This provides a chance to experience the history, culture, and entertainment attractions of one of America’s most iconic cities.
