Lila Mae & The Cartwheels

Lila Mae & The Cartwheels are a string band with a twist. With Mae on ukelele, the band’s interpretation of classic country, rockabilly and bluegrass music has a unique sound to it. Much of their music is original, boasting family vocals, pedal steel, guitar, bass, and ukelele. Mae’s lively presence on stage is full of ease, and allows her to engage the audience with her music, jokes and stories. Mae’s debut album, One More Yesterday, is described in Seven Days as “a stunning album that local folk audiences should be devouring… Mae gorgeously intones lyrics.”
