Students from Sanford Mirling’s fall class Sculpture I: Communicating in Three Dimensions exhibit works that focus on the limitless, form-making possibilities of welded-steel rod. While tackling elemental aesthetic issues of balance, volume, perspective, and scale, each sculpture provides a glimpes into the artist’s own personal narrative. As a collection, these pieces represent earnest experiments in translating two dimensions into three and memories into new realities.
On-going through November 10
