Mimi Bain and Friends

Mimi Bain and dad David Bain have been playing together for 28 years, and had their first public venue at 51 Main starting with the monthly Blues Jam, then duos, a quartet, and now a quintet. Mimi’s soulful, bluesy vocals, drawing from 1920’s jazz, 1940’s blues, and 1960’s soul, are backed by David’s trademark piano, with Steve Thurston (guitar), Houston Illo (drums), and Lena Freed (upright bass).
