National Teach-In on the Presidential Executive Order Banning Muslims, Immigrants, and Refugees
Organized by the Kharij Collective, the Center for the Study of Race and Equity in Education is sponsoring the National Teach-In on the Presidential Executive Order Banning Muslims, Immigrants, and Refugees.
The National Teach-In on the Presidential Executive Order intends to assist educators and students in answering the following questions:
1. What are the legal and historical contexts and issues raised by these immigration policies?
2. How are students (K-12, undergraduate, and graduate), parents, and families being affected?
3. What rights people have and what resources are available?
4. What are some ways that college and university faculty, staff, and students can respond?
Teach-in speakers will include lawyers, activists, and academics with experience working with Muslim and immigrant communities.
