The Politics of Securitization: Tariffs, Entity Lists, and Export Controls in the US-China Trade War
Jack Zhang, University of Kansas, is the founder and director of the Trade War Lab, a social science lab dedicated to dual mission of understanding the U.S.-China Trade War and empowering policy-relevant academic research by teams of undergraduate and graduate students through collaboration and mentoring. He will discuss his research on the politics of securitization to understand how it is changing the political economy of global trade, especially between the US and China.
