Screening of "Brave Heart"

A screening of “Brave Heart,” which features Lizzie Velasquez, who suffers from a rare medical condition that renders her unable to gain weight. While societal norms constantly reinforce the message that the inability to gain weight is a blessing, Lizzie was seriously bullied for her body and her extreme thinness. This documentary shows us that there is no way to achieve the societal norms and receive praise, so we may as well break free from the system.
