The Deans’ seminar series welcomes Mary Brydon-Miller, a trailblazer in experiential learning and action research. Mary directs the University of Cincinnati’s Action Research Center and is Professor of Educational Studies and Urban Educational Leadership in the College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services.
Mary’s workshop will focus on the nature of the relationships we establish with those we are purporting to help in different fields, and with those from whom we seek help. This participatory workshop will particularly explore how action research principles and methods can be used to help develop empathetic relationships that allow for constructive co-inquiry in social change processes.
