Theory is local: On the “moral urgency” of addressing poverty in our community through transformative collaboration

Join the Privilege and Poverty program for an evening of conversations on transformative collaboration around poverty. During a campfire at the Knoll and dinner at the Center for Community Engagement, we will discuss the following questions: How can academic inquiry inform community practice in addressing poverty? What are the roles and responsibilities of institutions of higher education in addressing community? What forms of community action can best serve people facing poverty? How can community partners and the College influence policy and change cultural norms surrounding those affected by poverty? Light refreshments will be available at the Knoll, and dinner will be provided at the CCE after the Knoll.
Please RSVP before Monday, Oct. 24th.
