Turning Science into Policy: The Marine Managed Area Science Program

Mike Orbach is Professor Emeritus of Marine Affairs and Policy in the Nicholas School of the Environment at Duke University, and Senior Fellow for the Center for the Blue Economy. Dr. Orbach will describe the genesis, progression and results of the Marine Managed Area Science Program, a five-year $12.5 million dollar program to develop marine managed areas in Belize, Brazil, Fiji and Panama.
