Upper Valley Educators Institute: Info Session

For over 40 years, the Upper Valley Educators Institute has been recognized as a national leader in preparing college graduates for careers in teaching. Its hands-on, competency-based approach starts with the premise that teaching is an art best learned through practice. UVEI interns spend 80% of their time in actual classroom practice and 20% on theory. Each intern spends four days a week, full time, in a classroom under the supervision of a mentor teacher. Interns come to the Institute in Lebanon, NH, one day a week for seminars where they learn how the brain develops, how to develop curriculum that kids really engage in, and how to assess student work, among other skills.
