Professor of Scripture emerita at Boston University and Distinguished Visiting Professor of Comparative Religion at the Hebrew University, Jerusalem, Paula Fredriksen will examine what Augustine had to say about Jews and the Jewishness of Jesus and Paul, putting those ideas in contrast to what other Christian theologians argued. Her talk will range from the fourth century to present-day Israel, where Augustine’s words still echo.
