International Trade Student Association Online Conference

V499 Van Buren Videoconference RmOpen to the Public
In today’s world, International Trade has become a complex web of relationships between countries which are expanding at an unprecedented rate. Technology has played a significant role by lowering multiple layers of costs and integrating an array of disciplines within its scope such as digital trade and intellectual property rights. However, even as we see the influence of rapid technological advances on international trade, political rhetoric influenced by nationalistic views has led many countries to shift their focus to bilateral agreements from the multilateral system under the WTO.
The Future of Trade will be sponsored by the MIIS International Trade Association of Washington D.C. and Monterey, CA. This year’s conference will review current trends shaping international trade policy and foster debate to explore better approaches to creating future trade policies which will shape business decisions and have global economic implications.
