Looking for something to do this Saturday? Come out to Globe Med’s annual 5K race (run, walk, skip, whatever) that starts at Proctor Terrace. $10 registration fee—payable in the library during tabling hours Thursday 8pm-10pm, day of event or at http://www.razoo.com/story/Middlebury. All donations go to our partner organization, Gardens for Health International.

Did you know that rising seniors can attend the Bread Loaf School of English, either getting a head start on graduate study or earning credits to transfer to Middlebury degrees? If you are interested in learning more about graduate study at Bread Loaf School of English, please stop by one of our informational tables outside the dining halls between noon and 1 p.m.: Wednesday, September 28 at Atwater, Thursday, September 29 at Proctor, and Friday, September 30 at Ross. In the event of rain, please find us in the Davis Family Library vestibule on Thursday, September 29 between noon and 1 p.m.

This week Amnesty International will host a a Write for Rights event for local activists to call on governments worldwide to protect and release victims of human rights abuses. This event is just one of thousands that will be carried out throughout the USA and more than 50 countries worldwide. Our group has chosen 6 of the 12 cases to support and will be hosting a letter writing campaign Thursday and Friday in the dining halls during lunch and dinner. We will also be tabling outside of the RIDDIM dance performance and the Film Society Friday film event.
