Prof. Danielle Dube, Ph.D., Director of the Biochemistry Program, Bowdoin College, will give a guest lecture, titled “Chemical Tools to Discover and Target Sugar-coated Proteins on Disease-causing Bacteria”. Abstract: Helicobacter pylori, and our recent expansion of this methodology to a range of pathogenic and symbiotic bacterial species. Further application of metabolic glycan labeling will refine our knowledge of the glycan repertoire in diverse bacteria and may find utility in treating a variety of infectious diseases with selectivity.
