The Annual MIIS Trade Conference

The MIIS Annual Trade Conference has consistently been one of the largest and most prestigeous events on campus. With the formation of the new International Trade and Economic Diplomacy (ITED) program and the vibrant Trade Club on campus this year, this year will be no exception.
With today’s global challanges in mind, this years conference is focused on global trade and the environment. The relationship between these two fields is often underplayed or even illustrated as being in confict. As massive regional trade agreements such as the Trans-Pacific Partnership become new platforms for global governance and policy, and as the UN Paris Climate Change Conference draw us closer to a substantial global response to climate change, how do we reconsile protecting our environment with global economic development? In our conference we will bring a panel of experts and students to explore this topics and find solutions.
