The security risks posed by a protracted fight with ISIS converged on November 13th in the first large-scale terrorist attack in Paris, killing 129 people and injuring over 300. Experts had been warning of the possibility that terrorists could pose as refugees in order to carry out attacks in the West, of inter-European terrorist cells coordinating cross-border attacks, and of the growing incidence of homegrown terrorists—the attacks in Paris had facets of each.

Please join the Terrorism Studies Club for a discussion about the relationship between European countries, the refugee crisis, and ISIS with security experts from MIIS and the Naval Postgraduate School.

This event will be held from 6:00-8:00pm on Monday, November 23, 2015 at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies
