The Friends are taking an overnight trip to The Hudson River Valley! Find out more from Glenn Andres, Professor Emeritus of History of Art and Architecture The trip will include guided visits to the Hudson River painter Frederic Church’s remarkable home, landscape, and collections; Olana; Matisse and Chagall stained glass windows at the Union Church of Pocantico Hills; the Rockefeller house, gardens, and Nelson Rockefeller collection of 20th-century art at Kykuit; America’s grandest Gothic Revival mansion and its mid-nineteenth-century collections of art and furniture at Lyndhurst; and the important museum of contemporary art at DIA Beacon. Friday dinner and lodgings will be at the commodious Tarrytown House Estate in Tarrytown.
