In this lecture, Dr. Jeffrey Katzin of the Akron Art Museum will share insights gained from his experience curating the exhibition Michelangelo Lovelace: Art Saved My Life, which debuted in Akron and is now on view at the Middlebury College Museum of Art. Katzin will discuss Lovelace’s intensively dedicated fusion of art and life, his simplified but powerful style, and his resonant approaches to politics and Black identity.

Students, Faculty, and Staff are invited to join the members of the artistic collective, Art Lords, to paint a mural in Proctor on the theme of art, migration, and belonging. No artistic experience required! Come for as little or as long as you like! Painting will take place between 9am-8pm on April 24-25th.
