Friday, October 29 from 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm - Fall Faculty Forum, Axinn Center. The forum features three 90-minute sessions with two parallel panels. Panels will consist of 3–5 faculty presentations, followed by conversation with the audience. Panels are interdisciplinary in scope but linked by theme, and each presentation will be accessible to non-experts, including faculty, staff, and students with a wide range of interests and background. This event is taking place in Axinn.

“Approaches to Justice Across Academic Disciplines”

Faculty representing each of the academic divisions at Middlebury discuss the topic of justice broadly defined. Through a dynamic and interactive roundtable conversation, the panel aims to highlight how different disciplines can offer unique perspectives while also cumulatively enriching the understanding of a given topic. Panelists will draw on their own research and on larger current developments in their respective fields to model a rigorously academic yet accessible discussion of an important broad topic of study.

American poet Adrienne Rich (1929-2012) was the poetic voice of Second Wave Feminism. Her work remains luminously relevant now.
