This talk adopts the notions of van Lier’s (2004a) ecological perspective, van Manen’s (1992) tact of teaching and “reflection in action”, Kumaravadivelu’s (2003) pedagogic wheel and Dai’s (2014) cognitive approach to teaching. The author examines what ecological perspectives provide for language education and teacher training. Language education should be elevated to an understanding of the larger environment where the agent perceives, interprets and creates affordances for teaching and learning.

CHLA and JALA 8377 and 8477 course students and faculty are meeting at this joint class for discussing about the history and the customs associated with East Asian foods for diplomacy.  

Stanford Health Care is recruiting for 2 Chinese and 2 Spanish Medical Interpreters for their Summer 2025 Internship Program.
Staff interpreters will present the program and application process.
