20 Years as a Houdini Effects Artist with experience in fluids simulation, rigid body dynamics, volumetrics, pyro, complex systems, crowds, pipeline development, Dr. John Hughes has worked at several leading studios such as Pixar, Weta FX, Sony Imageworks, Walt Disney Feature Animation Studios and DreamWorks.

He had key roles on major motion pictures such as Avatar: The Way of Water, The Suicide Squad, Frozen, I am Legend, Moana, Spider-Man 3, Kung Fu Panda 2, Big Hero 6, Watchmen, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, and many more.

The Fall Forum is a flagship tradition at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies that provides an opportunity for students and the wider community to participate in and witness a multilingual conference and learn how professional language services play a pivotal role in its success.
