Do you have an interest in the issues of educational and technology access; teaching and project-based learning; some proficiency in Spanish language? Come join an information session with Team4Tech as they talk about a funded cohort summer internship for 10 Middlebury students this August 2018 living and working in a rural community in the rainforest of Chilamate, Costa Rica. In Costa Rica, Team4Tech is partnering with TabLab, a US-based non-profit organization that works to advance teaching and learning in rural schools via teacher training, mobile technology and personalized learning.

At this session, we will: • Give you examples on past internships from Midd students. • Highlight top resources to use in the search process. • Discuss strategies for creating your own experience. • Provide an overview of CCI’s GRANT FUNDING available for unpaid internships. • Help you with the process of narrowing down fields in which to pursue your internship. We look forward to seeing you and answering all of your questions!

Reclaim Childhood runs summer sports programming for refugee women and girls in Amman, Jordan. We are seeking summer interns who are passionate about refugee issues, athletics, and/or Arabic language study. Join us for an info session to learn more about what we do and how you can get involved!

This a social event to get to know all of the program professionals and ask questions over light snacks and beverages. Open to all professionals in attendance for the program and all interested students.

We’ll walk you through the steps of how to structure and format a resume so that employers can read it quickly and the importance of targeting resumes for specific positions/fields/industries. For cover letter writing 101, we’ll show you how to research a position and organization in preparation for writing a cover letter; and how to use the STAR method to write about relevant skills and experiences.

Distinguished Men of Color (DMC) and Center for Careers and Internships (CCI) invite you to join a discussion with graduating seniors. Students who attend this event will: learn from seniors about how they are preparing for the transition to life after Middlebury, learn about various career paths, and understand the importance of networking by getting some practice.
