Middlebury alumni who work in global and public health will be on campus discussing their career paths and how their Middlebury experience made an impact on their careers after graduation. They can help you answer the question, “What can I do with my liberal arts major or degree?” The Global Health Field Guide will feature an alumni panel, followed by an informal dinner. At these events, you will have the chance to connect with alumni, faculty, and other students.

The Center for Careers & Internships and the Student Investment Committee are pleased to host a panel of parent professionals to discuss careers in finance for liberal arts majors and the power of the Middlebury alumni/parent networks. Students as well as parents who currently work in the field or who are curious about careers in finance for their Middlebury students are encouraged to attend.

Student Treks connect students with multiple alumni and organizations during on-site visits
and job shadowing experiences. These fully-funded CCI-led trips, typically hosted over
breaks, are unique “living and learning” cohort experiences that provide the students with an
opportunity to explore a particular field of interest.
After a weeklong “Tech Trek” to Silicon Valley, where they were immersed in daily jobshadowing

A unique, Fall Family Weekend opportunity for students to network with parents who have worked to advance the common good—planned or through happenstance —whether through careers in the public, nonprofit, business, or environmental sectors, serving on boards, or

At Middlebury, students don’t just learn how to engage the world—they go out and do it. At the Center for Careers and Internships, we prepare students for great internship and job opportunities so they can apply their liberal arts learning beyond the classroom. Our advisors, programming, and resources focus on all areas of career exploration and specialize in areas that include the arts, media and entertainment, education, social impact, government and policy, STEM, law, health professions, and business. At Middlebury, students don’t just learn how to engage the world—they go out and do it. Even in the midst of a pandemic, our resilient and innovative students participated in meaningful internships (many of them remote) this summer. They gained valuable experience, contributed to research on Covid-19, cancer and climate change, taught children, brought the arts online, and used language, writing, research, and analytical skills acquired at Middlebury to benefit major NGOs, corporations, non-profits, and campaigns.

Several of the student participants in the Silicon Valley Innovation Trek will discuss their experiences on this fully-funded CCI-led trip to explore careers involving innovation.
