Come learn from Connor Keeshan 08.5 about his work in the field of advertising. He currently works in account management at BBH in New York City. He will talk about his path to the field, what he does and share tips on how you can enter the field. At Midd Connor was a Geography major and played rugby. Connor joined BBH in 2011 to help lead the evolution of Westin Hotels & Resorts’ ‘For a better you’ and British Airways’ ‘To fly. To serve.’ campaigns. More recently, he has led Unilver’s AXE account during a marked brand shift while launching their cross-category White Label campaign.

Middlebury has recently revised the requirements and process for getting an accelerated Masters degree at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies in Monterey (MIIS). Come hear Swetha Sridharan ’04 talk about her work as a researcher at Mathematica. Here, she assesses the effectiveness of global health and education programs, and helps program funders engage in evidence-based decision-making. She specializes in conducting research on reproductive health, maternal and child health, and secondary education programs. Prior to Mathematica, Swetha was the assistant director of the Task Force program at the Council on Foreign Relations.

Don MacKenzie is the Head of West Coast Development at UDR, Inc. UDR is a $14 Billion market capitalization Real Estate Investment Trust, with a primary focus on high quality multifamily rental communities on the East and West Coasts of the United States. He is also on the Board of CLIMB, Inc. (Colorado Leaders Interns Mentors and Business), an organization that organizes paid summer internships in Denver for current under-graduates from eight schools (including Middlebury). Don is a graduate of Phillips Academy, Andover and Middlebury College with a degree in Political Science.

Mike earned a B.A. in economics from Williams College and worked for Congressman Jim Weaver as a legislative aide. McGinn attended law school at the University of Washington School of Law.[3] After graduating, he practiced business law for the Seattle firm Stokes Lawrence, becoming a partner. He left Stokes Lawrence in 2005 and started Great City Initiative, a non-profit advocacy group. He served as mayor from 2010-13. His daughter is a first year on campus.

Schaffer is a Program Officer at the Washington Office on Latin America (WOLA) and focuses on drug policy reform in the Americas and Egol is chief of staff at Cook Ross, Inc., a consulting firm whose mission is to provide powerful solutions to organizations around the world in the areas of diversity and inclusion. Ambassador Ford is a scholar at the Middle East Institute in Washington where he writes and speaks about Iraq, Syria and North Africa. He is also a fellow at the Jackson Institute for Global Affairs at Yale University where he teaches about Arab politics and diplomacy. Ford served thirty years in the State Department and Peace Corps, finishing his career as the U.S. Ambassador to Syria from 2011 to 2014. Ms.

Lunch will be provided during this informal meeting with three young alumni who work for economic consulting firm Charles River Associates (CRA). Dan Ladd ’14 majored in economics and geography and was a leader on the 2013 Solar Decathlon Team. Dan traveled around the world for his junior fall studying cities.
