In 1996 Rich became the first employee and the executive director of a small land trust that was called Chagrin River Land Conservancy. As a result of mergers among 13 land conservation organizations, today the organization has grown to serve 18 counties in northern and eastern Ohio, and operates under the name Western Reserve Land Conservancy (“the Land Conservancy”).

Come talk with Kate Bass, ‘ 11.5 about her path that began as a SOAN major with French and Spanish minors, and brought her to her current role as Program Officer with the Latin America and Caribbean team at the National Democratic Institute, which works internationally to build political and civic organizations, safeguard elections, and promote citizen participation.

Join us for a Health Professions Career Conversation: Alum Adam Fasoli, DMD, `04, a local Dentist at the Middlebury Dental Group, received his undergraduate degree from Middlebury College prior to receiving his doctorate from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Frederick W. Baum, DVM is the Veterinarian and Director at the Arlington Animal Hospital. Dr. Baum is a graduate of the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University. Both will be the featured guests in a conversation about careers in dental and veterinary medicine.

He will provide you with a primer to help understand the landscape of companies and roles available within investment banks, hedge funds, asset managers, pension funds, and investment divisions of life insurance companies.

The Associates Program (TAP) is a global rotational program aimed at developing future leaders at Capital Group. Main elements of the program include: six rotations across different business areas and offices, graduate-level business and finance classes, personalized career coaching, and a seventh non-profit rotation. It’s an extraordinary way to learn about yourself and your future career interests while exploring the world of financial services.

The Programs on Creativity and Innovation (PCI) provides resources as students pursue challenging independent projects of their own design. The office of Community Engagement (CE) prepares students for lives of meaning and impact by providing opportunities for service, scholarship, and active citizenship. The Center for Social Entrepreneurship (CSE) offers a number of programs to students interested in learning about social impact.

The Center for Careers & Internships guides students in the career exploration process throughout all four years with personalized advising, dynamic workshops, a robust alumni network, and internship and job opportunities that help students apply their liberal arts learning beyond the classroom. CCI prepares students to translate their Middlebury experience into successful pursuit of their post-graduate goals, focusing on areas from STEM to not-for-profit to finance to education.
