Community Council is a group of ~20 students, faculty and staff that meets Tuesdays at 4:30 in the Crest Room, McCullough to discuss issues facing the College. All meetings are open to all students, faculty and staff. All College community members are permitted and encouraged to present recommendations, share narratives, sit at the table and participate during conversations. If you cannot attend a meeting but would like to submit a statement to be shared and/or obtain the minutes, please email Co-Chair Tiff Chang at ccouncil@midd.

Community Council is holding its second issue-focused meeting of the year. We will open by addressing the council’s predisposition to addressing student and faculty issues over staff issues, as an institute of higher ed, then have a presentation by Katy Smith Abbott, Miguel Fernandez and Andi Lloyd on their summer work around 1. Diversity & Inclusion, 2. Mind, Body & Well-being and 3. Community & Resilience.

Community Council invites staff and faculty to attend this week’s meeting on: Stress, as applied to faculty, staff and students. All who attend have the option to present for 2-3 minutes and/or add their voice to the conversation as they wish! We are looking for more faculty and staff to share their thoughts on faculty and staff stress (versus student stress), so if you feel strongly please consider attending. Community Council: A group of 20 students, faculty, staff and administrators that meets weekly to discuss issues facing the college and make recommendations to President Patton.
